Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Probably one of the best bargain for accommodation south of Bath. The wonderful cabins at this site, right off busy Route 1, appears to be in a different world, one you would expect to find deep in the woods. The cabins are vintage and attractive. The beds are comfortable and the buildings are solid. Our fireplace was hand built! Although they are sandwiched between I 295 and Rt 1 the surrounding trees muffle most of the noise and what remains reminds me of the sound of rain or waves. The kitchen is well equipped and there's firewood on the porch. It was a rainy night and we were tempted to try to set a blazing fire but frankly we were too tired and we had a flight to catch in the morning. The breakfast was very simple, mostly muffins and such, and the serving area was in the lobby and there's really no room to eat. But that's fine! We could buy a fancy downtown breakfast easily with the money we saved! With it's proximity to Portland it's a great place to start or end your trip. Just remember that the cabins are spread out on uneven ground among the trees so watch your step!
